Salary negotiation

Ask what's included beyond base: retirement/pension contributions, meal or commuter allowance, health coverage.

When to negotiate: After you receive an offer, not before.
How to respond: "Thank you for the offer. Based on my research for this role and market, I was expecting something closer to [X]. Is there flexibility?"
